Evan leads the Impact Carbon team in developing household energy and safe water projects in less-developed countries.

Evan’s work at Impact Carbon has focused on direct program implementation in East Africa, global household energy consulting services, behavior change research, and carbon finance. Evan’s research and publishing is focused on carbon methodology development and monitoring for improved stoves and safe water, and on assessing and valuing the associated social, health and environmental co-benefits. Evan holds an MS in Environmental Health Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley and a BS in Molecular, Cellular, and Development Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

He served as the Project Director for TRAction sponsored research on household air pollution in rural Uganda
