This brief describes the efforts that TRAction has taken to advance respectful maternal care and address disrespect and abuse during facility-based childbirth. The three-pronged approach of measuring prevalence, integrating implementation science, and supporting advocacy is highlighted within and includes examples of the TRAction-funded projects that advance these approaches.
